BRITISH GLASS

FOUNDATION

White House Cone Site

Following the closure of Broadfield House Glass Museum at the end of September 2015 we are delighted to have been successful with our Round One Heritage Lottery funding bid for £780,000 for the fit-out of the new museum on the White House Cone site.  This is wonderful news and helps us enormously in our am to provide a new home for the internationally renowned Stourbridge Glass collections.  We would like to thank everyone for their support and we are particularly grateful for the ongoing backing we have received from our partners at Dudley MBC which has been crucial in helping secure this bid.  Dudley Council remains a key player in our plans and we look forward to our continuing mutual collaboration.  The HLF funding is the icing on the cake in giving the new facility the “wow” factor that will encourage people to come through the doors and celebrate our unique glass heritage.  Building work is progressing well and it is clear that our dream is now becoming a reality.
